A Case of Squint by Dr. Shalin Shah
Case Month – Sept 2025
Case Details
A 38-year-old patient, came to the OPD with outward deviation of the right eye, since few years. He had good vision, and a large angle of squint. He had visited multiple hospitals, where he was advised surgery for both the eyes, with multiple surgeries needed.
He was diagnosed as large angle exotropia – a condition difficult to treat with a single surgery. He was treated surgically by our visiting consultant, Dr. Shalin Shah. After single surgery on the right eye, the patient had near perfect correction of the squint, with preserved good vision.
The patient underwent a challenging squint surgery with an excellent outcome.
