Case Details

A 19-Year-old Patient, came to the OPD with outward deviation of the right eye, since childhood. He had visited many hospitals before but was either refused surgery due to very large angle of squint or advised multiple surgeries involving both eyes for treatment.
He was diagnosed to have essential infantile Exotropia- a rare form of developmental squint. He was treated surgically by our visiting consultant, Dr. Shalin Shah.
After single surgery on the right eye, the patient had near perfect correction of squint, with good vision. The patient underwent a complicated squint surgery involving more than two muscles, with an excellent outcome.
